why doesnt NCsoft bring these games to America?
I just visited the ncsoft corporate websites and i noticed there are alot of really cool games that they choose to only release in the south-east countries and not in America like:
point blank(this game is pretty awesome)
punch monster
smash star
sp jam
dragonica
atrix
imo these are alot of games that can make NCsoft pretty rich if they release them in north america, and if NCsoft really wants to create a dynamic online global experience they would release all those games you know....globally.
all those games can be found here
http://www.ncsoft.net/global/gamense...s.aspx?game=SP
(website is broken for firefox users)

You act as if localization is completely free.

I don't think you can say for sure he would want too. You don't know what types of games he likes, if you like it it doesn't mean everyone else will as well.
I'm sure NCSoft has it's reasons for not bringing them to America, and the best bet is they probably don't think they will sell.
Oh and double posting is bad.

Historically, few games managed transition between Asian and Western markets in either direction.

And those which did were extraordinary games (with actuall artistic/storytelling/gamedesign value).
Anything less usually tanked, hard.
Games OP showed us are neither expressions artistic vision, have breathtaking and deep storyline or have intriguing gameplay that provides decades of fun.
They are just average asian-targeted mid-budget games.
Blunt: They are not Starcraft, and they are not Final Fantasy.

Why are you asking people on a GW forum about NCSoft not bringing other games to America? Ask NCSoft. Or better yet, move to Asia. then you'll be able to pay and play them.

Japanese console games have sold in the millions in Western markets.
It's my opinion that the titles in the OP would not do as well.
edit: Why is this in Riverside?

Console games, for the most part, are made for a world market. Most of the Asian MMO's are designed for the Asian market, not the US.
As far as console games, see how well Halo3 and other FPS games have done in Asia compared to the US. They can't give away 360s in Japan, while they are thriving in the US.
Games like the FF series have a storyline and concentrate on role play, something that has a market worldwide, which is why they have success in the US.

@Most people : this is not a NCsoft forum, so stop posting suggestions/complains about NCsoft that doesn't affect GW ^^.

Localization is expensive and risky, especially if the new market wasn't a target market during the design phase. Online games are even more complicated, because you actually need infrastructure to support those games, and you need to operate for long periods to generate good cash flow. As a result, console games aren't really comparable.
Furthermore, only a small percentage of console games achieve worldwide adoption, and as noted above, these are typically blockbuster games from famous franchises, developed by well-known studios with ample experience in developing for the world market. Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, and Final Fantasy are textbook examples here. For each one of these, there are hundreds of titles that never see the light of day outside of their home market.

i think those games would be pretty successful in america that is if they release any type of promotions or commercials or something to spread the word around.
